Metallic postcards are printed with colour laid over silver pigment, which produces a shine that ordinary printing cannot reach. They suit direct mail campaigns, party invitations and thank-you cards that need real visual impact.

The advantage is that the silver layer works underneath every colour, so gradients and semitones gain depth. It is not a shine added on top of the surface.

Colours appear exceptionally vivid compared with plain stock, because the silver reflects light back through the ink. That is what gives the card its distinct, professional look.

Metallic postcards come in a range of sizes, from the familiar compact format up to larger cards that take a detailed announcement, with the size chosen to fit the content and how the cards will be distributed.

The main choices are the size, which areas carry the metallic highlight, and whether the back is printed. Writability on the gloss surface is limited, though certain ballpoint pens and permanent markers work.

There is no price calculator on this page. Price is confirmed once we know the size, the quantity and how much of the design carries the metallic effect.

Choose the size, mark the areas you want metallic and decide on one-sided or two-sided printing, then upload your artwork with the quantity. We check the file and confirm the price before printing.
